A Free-to-Play online adventure game with adorable, anime-inspired avatars and a rich, medieval setting. The game serves up several fun modes, including an exciting Player versus Player (PvP) function modeled after old school arcade titles. With the engaging features of a role playing game, Grand Chase is fast and action-packed, allowing players to battle against monsters as well as other players, complete exciting missions and level their adorable characters.

While gameplay in Grand Chase is primarily keyboard-driven, the game menu's interface is, by contrast, primarily mouse-driven, although some in-game key commands may be user-defined. Due to the combos and special attacks, the game has a feel that is similar to side-scrolling fighting games such as Street Fighter 2 or Double Dragon, while the appearance and design of the backdrops, as well as the characters and monster, puts the game in an anime-esque setting. While it is an action game, the designers took care to not make a "button masher".[4]

The game is free-to-play, where players need to earn currency known as Game Points (GP) from completing dungeon quests, individual missions, or defeating other players to buy better equipments or items, but there are some items that can only be purchased with real-world currency. In Grand Chase, players start off role-playing as one of three main heroines, and will be able to unlock more playable characters by completing specific missions. However, the player may freely switch among the characters he or she has unlocked between missions, each with their own specific equipment and experience level.

Yet the nightmares that tormented Alice were not just her own, they included the bad dreams of her friends as well! These phantoms returned to her again and again, night after night until finally somebody recommended a sanitarium to Alice’s mother that might be able to help. Unfortunately, her problems got even worse there, and by the time her mother brought her home, sleep had become utter hell for Alice. However, it was good in one way - Alice gradually learned to distinguish between her own dreams and her friends’, and what’s more, she learned to control them!

Many years have passed since then, and Alice has grown and started her own psychology practice where she relies on her ability to enter people’s dreams.
